Paresh Rawal's Statement Shows the Strong Professional Bond with Akshay Kumar!

In a recent interview that went viral, Paresh Rawal called Akshay Kumar a "colleague" instead of a buddy, putting him in the public eye. Rumors of a falling out between the two actors, who have appeared together on screen in a number of successful movies, including Hera Pheri, Welcome, and Oh My God, were triggered by the comment. But now, Paresh Rawal has calmly and honestly clarified the situation.

 

In an interview with a news outlet, Paresh bemoaned the exaggerated nature of the problem. He clarified, “Maatha kharab ho gaya, yaar! I simply said that he’s a colleague. When you say ‘friend,’ it means those whom you meet 5-6 times a month and whom you talk to several times a week. Moreover, neither Akshay nor I are social. So, there’s no question of us bumping into any party. Hence, I called him a colleague. And this resulted in (speculations). People are asking, ‘Kya ho gaya (aap dono ke beech)?’ Arre bhai, kuch nahin hua.”

 

Rawal made it clear that he and Akshay Kumar are not at odds. Calling him a "friend" didn't feel appropriate because he just meant that they don't hang out very often. He claims that regular interaction is necessary for friendship, but they don't have it. However, that does not imply animosity.

 

Paresh Rawal responded that Akshay most likely hadn't seen the interview when asked if he had. He said that Akshay would make a wonderful buddy and that he is a peaceful, laid-back individual. Additionally, Paresh noted that they had collaborated on 15 to 20 movies and still have a close working relationship.

 

He continued by saying that in order to prevent any remarks from being taken out of context during interviews, he now feels the need to exercise extra caution. He acknowledged that constantly elaborating is exhausting and that he intends to use more specific language moving forward.
