NEWS RATING
The recent subtle jab actor Pankaj Jha took at director Anurag Kashyap has become the talk of the town. During an interview, Jha purportedly called Kashyap'spineless' and 'timid,' mentioning how the actor was replaced in his film, Gangs of Wasseypur.

The Panchayat actor subsequently refuted his assertions, though. In the midst of all of this, the filmmaker has given his perspective.

Anurag Kashyap responded to Pankaj Jha's purported allegations in a media discussion, elaborating on his choice to take the actor's place in Gangs of Wasseypur. Kashyap remembered that Jha had relocated to Osho in Pune during the filming of his 2010 movie The Girl in Yellow Boots.

Anurag Kashyap clarified the situation by stating that Pankaj Jha was not accessible before to the Gangs of Wasseypur filming. "We were on a tight budget and could not wait for him. We made the film in a very different condition and budget," Kashyap revealed.

The 51-year-old director speculated that since Pankaj Tripathi is now a well-known actor, the Gulaal star may be discussing the incident after two decades. “Now he may be thinking after 20 years, he could have become Pankaj Tripathi," the Gangs of Wasseypur director told.

Recalling his past collaborations with Pankaj Jha on films such as Gulaal and Black Friday, Anurag Kashyap stated his desire to continue working with him.

Kashyap reevaled, "He has actually been my go-to actor..." while adding, "I would love to work with him again, but the fact is, he is not accessible at all."

Pankaj Jha recently claimed that the media had misinterpreted his comments when he rejected his accusations against Anurag Kashyap. "All these news of me calling him spineless are all things twisted and made up," Jha had said. Jha went on to say that he views Kashyap as a "brother."

Presently, Anurag Kashyap is preparing for the launch of his next web series, Bad Cop. In it, Kashyap has been portrayed as a villain. On June 21, the series will make its Disney+Hotstar debut.
