Having starred in multiple critically acclaimed Bollywood films, Alia Bhatt is undoubtedly one of the industry's most successful and well-liked actresses. She debuted as a producer with the dark comedy Darlings last year. The National Award winner is now supporting Poacher, another intriguing production. This investigative crime series will include her as an executive producer.
 
It was recently reported on February 6th that Alia Bhatt will be an executive producer of the Poacher investigative crime series. Richie Mehta, who previously directed the popular drama series Delhi Crime, is directing this series. Poacher, which is based on actual events, will detail the biggest ivory poaching network in this nation's history. Mehta is the creator, writer, and director of the series, which will star Roshan Matthew, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Nimisha Sajayan among others. Starting on February 23, Poacher will be accessible on Amazon Prime Video in Hindi, Malayalam, and English.
 
The first peek of the series was revealed by Alia in a joint Instagram post with her production company Eternal Sunshin and Prime Video. The caption read, "Beneath the silence, the forest reveals a deadly conspiracy... and the hunt for the Poacher begins! Alia Bhatt comes on board as #ExecutiveProducer on #PoacherOnPrime, a new Amazon Original Crime series, Feb 23"
 
Alia released a statement about the series in which she revealed, "Being part of this incredibly significant project is an honor, for both me and the entire team of Eternal Sunshine Productions. The impact of Poacher was deeply personal, and Richie's portrayal of the urgent issue of wildlife crime resonated strongly with me and the team." The actress further said that she was genuinely moved by its story, especially because it's based on true events.
