During one of his recent DJ gigs, award-winning musician and producer Mark Ronson sustained a painful injury onstage. Earlier this week, he was admitted to the hospital.

The well-known musician managed to finish the performance before checking into the hospital, despite the incident. On Wednesday, Ronson, 49, shared a picture from the hospital bed on Instagram.

He revealed in his post that he tore the tendons in his biceps while attempting a risky move in his act. Ronson penned, "That time the house PA was so bad that I tried to one-hand turn the stage monitor towards the crowd mid-mix to give them some extra juice."

He further revealed, "Turns out they weigh more than I thought… Two popped bicep tendons and one finished gig later, here we are, baby!"

Ronson showed the dedication that has defined his lengthy career spanning decades by continuing to play despite the damage. In the 1990s, Ronson began his career as a DJ before creating hit songs for artists like Paul McCartney, Miley Cyrus, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, and Bruno Mars.

The accident happened only a week after Ronson revealed that he will be reflecting on his early days in his upcoming memoir, Night People: How to Be a DJ in '90s upcoming York City. Despite his injury, Ronson assured his followers that he was getting better in an Instagram post that displayed his trademark wit and tenacity.
