Chris Hemsworth has now portrayed the adored Marvel character Thor for more than ten years. Three sequels to the 2011 film Thor, in which Hemsworth originated the part, have since been released. Thor: Love and Thunder, Chris' final film in the part, came out in 2022 to mixed reviews. Chris Hemsworth spoke candidly about the negative reviews of his film.

In a recent media chat with a tabloid, Hemsworth opened up about the criticism that the fourth installment of the Thor franchise garnered. He revealed, “I think we just had too much fun. It just became too silly.”

The Australian actor continued by saying that he had always enjoyed the process and they were unsure of how the public would react to their work. Hemsworth revealed, “It's always hard being in the center of it and having any real perspective. I love the process; it's always a ride. But you just don't know how people are going to respond.”

Chris Hemsworth added that in order to keep the audience interested, they always have to take radical measures. Otherwise, the audience becomes tired with the repetition of these films and characters and believes that they have already seen them. The Australian actor added that his portrayal of the character in a different film will be "totally different" from his previous appearances in the Thor films.

Recently, the new trailer for Chris Hemsworth's Netflix sequel Extraction 2 was unveiled.  The movie will soon premiere on the streaming platform on June 16, 2023.
