Parineeti Chopra turns down Rashmika Mandanna's role in Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal?

The Bollywood film Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, has been highly anticipated this year. Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and other actors star in the Sandeep Vanga Reddy-directed movie. Parineeti Chopra was originally slated to portray the female lead role, but Rashmika took it instead.

 

Parineeti Chopra was originally slated to play Geetanjali Singh in Animal. Pari's name was initially linked to the Sandeep Vanga Reddy-directed film when it was first revealed in 2021. But according to reports, the actress left the project while filming Amar Singh Chamkila by Imtiaz Ali with Diljit Dosanjh. According to a tabloid, “She has to get into prep immediately for the shoot (of Chamkila), and unfortunately due to this development, she won’t be able to shoot for Animal as there is a major overlap of dates between the two films.”

 

But according to a daily, Sandeep thought Parineeti was unfit for the trial shoot. After Rashmika's announcement as the lead, Parineeti said, "These things happen, it is part and parcel of life. We must make such choices every day. You make the choice that is right for you.”

 

Sandeep discussed Rashmika's portrayal of Geetanjali in Animal at a function. She is someone who knows the main character better than his parents, he claimed. Additionally, he mentioned that the character that plays a major role in the movie is unique and significant.
