Inside Story: Why Katrina Kaif Didn't Star in

Zareen Khan, who had her acting debut opposite Salman Khan in the 2010 film Veer, has claimed that her continuous comparison to Katrina Kaif has not worked in her favor. Director Anil Sharma responded to the resemblance in a recent interview, acknowledging that Zareen indeed seem like Katrina. Additionally, he disclosed that Katrina Kaif had originally expressed interest in appearing in Veer, but the film's producers were searching for a different face. Salman Khan approached Sharma to cast Zareen in the film after discovering her.

 

In a new media discussion, Veer director Anil Sharma addressed the opinion that Zareen Khan resembled Katrina Kaif and whether her casting in the film was purposeful. He emphasized that this was untrue, stating that Salman Khan invited Sharma to meet Zareen while he was working with Katrina on the movie Veer.

 

The filmmakers felt they needed a new face, even though Katrina originally wanted to be in the movie. Zareen, who hailed from a lowly family, was cast in the film when Khan found her.

He went on to explain that he did his best to work with Zareen after Khan sent her to him. The director of Gadar 2 admitted that she looked like Katrina Kaif.
